A 40-year-old man attacked a priest during a church service in Spokane, Washington, on Tuesday night, according to officials.

The priest, who was leading a prayer service on Tuesday at the Cathedral of Our Lady of Lourdes, was not injured.

About 400 people, including Spokane’s bishop, were praying a novena to Our Lady when a disturbed man charged the altar.
