“In light of this, Maserati is currently managing the manufacturing ramp-up of the GT2 Stradale version of the MC20 in Modena, which will be available to North American customers this summer, but has decided to discontinue the MC20 BEV Project due to a perceived lack of commercial interest.”

Maserati had promised fully electric versions of every model by 2025, but in its great greening it's so far only deleted V-8 engines.

The MC20 Folgore sports car was set to debut this year as part of an all-electric push by the Italian automaker. The car was first announced in 2020.

Maserati has pulled the plug on the fully electric MC20 Folgore. Set to be launched this year, the model was axed due to low demand. While the Folgore variant is dead, an updated MC20 is in the works.
