Cold, arctic air is dropping into Southeast Louisiana right now and that will interact with a developing low in the Gulf of Mexico that will bring snow to New Orleans. A Winter Storm Warning is now in effect for everyone shown here.

As Southeast Louisiana prepares for Tuesday's winter weather, warming centers and shelters are being opened across the area.

You should be ready to shelter in place beginning Monday night as the storm will move in quickly around daybreak Tuesday. Heavy snow will pick up through Tuesday morning with snow lasting through the day.
