A 26-year-old man has been arrested on suspicion of murder after another man was fatally stabbed in north-west London. The Metropolitan Police was called to Monks Park, Wembley, at about 18:10 BST on Tuesday, following reports of a stabbing. A 38-year-old man was treated for stab wounds but died at the scene.

Emergency services were called to Pear Tree Crescent in Normanton just after 12:25 BST on Wednesday. The road was closed during the early hours but reopened just before 05:45, Derbyshire Police said.

The man suspected of stabbing the victim, as well as a 48-year-old woman, was later shot and wounded by Cook County sheriff's police.

Police said the stabbing occurred after a fight broke out at the Travelodge on Laurel Fort Meade Road in Laurel.
