Sony’s putting on its first State of Play event in 2024 and will feature news on Death Stranding, Sonic, Rise of the Ronin, and more.
In a post on PlayStation Blog, Sony said State of Play features updates on PlayStation 5 and PS VR2 titles, plus a look at PlayStation Studios games arriving later this year.
This State of Play is Sony’s chance to lay out its stall for 2025. Based on past events, we know of several planned games still need concrete release dates, and chief among them is Ghost of Yōtei.
The announcement was made via social media and the PlayStation Blog, where Sony noted: “State of Play is back tomorrow, February 12! Tune in live for news and updates on great games coming to PS5.
During the State of Play, Sony announced a God of War: Ragnarök -themed limited edition blue-and-white PS5 DualSense controller. It will be available to buy the same day the game comes out.
If Sony's State of Play really is just around the corner remains to be seen, though – Sony hasn't confirmed nor denied anything at this point. As always, we'll keep you updated on that front!
But, since this State of Play is only 20 minutes long, there’s little chance that there will be time or reason to talk about Ghosts of Tsushima, especially if a Last of Us Part II release date ...
