Saturday hundreds gathered in Abilene on the lawn of the Dwight D Eisenhower Presidential Library and Museum to commemorate D-Day at the museum's annual "Symphony at Sunset" event.

Private Rodger Dean Andrews, of Gravette, was killed in action on D-Day in World War II when he was 19 years old. A service is scheduled for Monday June 9, at 2 p.m. at Bethel Cemetery in Gravette.
