Joseph Patrick Mauer (born April 19, 1983) is an American former professional baseball catcher and first baseman who spent his entire 15-year Major League Baseball (MLB) career with the Minnesota Twins.

The Twins are inducting Joe Mauer into their Hall of Fame on August 5. His five years since retiring from baseball have been everything he wanted them to be.

But in his first full season with the Twins in 2005, Mauer hit .294 with 26 doubles and 55 RBI. The next year, Mauer became the first AL catcher to win a batting title by hitting .347 en route to the first of six All-Star Game selections and five Silver Slugger Awards.

Minnesota Twins legend Joe Mauer has been elected to the National Baseball Hall of Fame by the Baseball Writers Association of America. Induction ceremonies are scheduled for Sunday, July 21 at 12:30 p.m. CT on the grounds of the Clark Sports Center in Cooperstown, New York.

The Minnesota Twins announced their 2025 Target Field promotions and theme nights on Tuesday. Joe Mauer will have a statue unveiled outside Gate 34 on April 13.
