Paul Joseph Chryst [1] (born November 17, 1965) is an American football coach. He served as the head football coach at the University of Pittsburgh from 2012 to 2014 and the University of Wisconsin—Madison from 2015 to 2022.

Chryst was offensive coordinator and quarterbacks coach at Oregon State in 2003-04. That followed his first stint at Wisconsin in 2002, when he served as the Badgers' tight ends coach. Chryst was a three-time letterwinner at UW, where he earned a degree in political science.
