Feb 26, 2024 · Both units integrated with the OE steering wheel controls no issues, (2014 FJ) and plug and play with a suitable adaptor. That ipad thing coul be worth looking into. Well, tablets in general, there are "car launchers" for Android devices which effectively turn them into head units. It would open up my options a ton for head units too.

Oct 10, 2019 · I love the fact that it fits the FJ without an adapter bezel. I have a DNX695S and a DNX892, I prefer the 695S, but both require a bezel adapter. Both are synced to the steering wheel controls with a Maestro interface.

Dec 27, 2014 · My FJ came with the "upgraded" system. I added a third-party "bluefusion" bluetooth adapter (used a SAT input) that worked well for streaming music and hands-free telephone. That said, I was really wanting to improve the audio experience and modernize the capabilities of the head unit.
